Have you ever noticed your skin feeling drier in the winter months ? You’re not imagining it. Winter air is drier and the humidity level is lower. The weather change and the use of heaters takes an extra toll on your skin. It’s time to switch up your daily routine a bit and make sure you get enough moisture inside and out.
The first thing I would suggest is using a heavier moisturizer to help keep your skin moisturized and glowing. I love Dr. Perricone’s Hyaluronic intensive moisturizer. It is a gel-cream and includes three different forms of hyaluronic acid to deeply moisturize and nourish your skin. I like to use Algenist Collagen Serum first, to plump the skin and then follow with this moisturizer. Throughout the day if my skin needs refreshing, I love to spritz Caudalie Beauty elixir on my face. It’s like giving your skin a little drink of water!

Our lips seem to get hit the hardest during these windy, winter months. They often are flaky, dry and chapped. It’s important to exfoliate this dry, dead skin off of your lips and to moisturize them day and night. I suggest Fresh sugar scrub to exfoliate your lips. Do this at nighttime and use a good lip therapy to moisturize and plump your lips while you sleep. I like Algenist Genius liquid collagen lip at night and Fresh sugar advanced therapy with spf during the day.

It’s just as important to hydrate from the inside as it is topically. Drinking plenty of water during these winter months will help keep your skin hydrated. Vital proteins Beauty Collagen is also a great way to keep your skin glowing and plumped. It contains 120 mg of hyaluronic acid and 12 grams of collagen per serving. It helps skin elasticity, your hair and nails to grow, and is very hydrating for your skin. This is a great way to support your beauty from the inside out. I prefer the Strawberry Lemon flavor (and not just because it’s pink) it tastes really good.

Now that you are moisturized and hydrated from the inside out, let’s add some icing to this cake! These are my favorite products to give you that supermodel glow for a night on the town, or a little something extra for your tea party with the girls or weekend Brunch. Patrick Ta has created the perfect line for being “so extra”! Use the Major Glow highlighting mist for the face. I try to spray in a “3” formation on each side of the face to highlight where the natural light is going to hit. It really makes your cheekbones pop! If your legs or arms are going to be exposed, use the Major Glow body oil to keep your skin from looking dull and dry. Top your lips off with the Major Glow lip shine. My favorite is “she’s an influencer”, pun intended! If you’re really feeling adventurous and your hair needs a little boost, try Dry Bar shimmer spritzer. It is a light-diffusing shimmer spray that adds 3 dimensional sparkle and a light hold. I like the Rose Gold color. I hope this helps to get you glowing through these dull and dry winter months.
