It’s that time of year again! “Back to school ” time always seems to get a little hectic, so if you’re looking for a way to feed your kids quickly, this is a great idea . I’ve found these homemade pizzas to be fun for everyone because you can choose your own ingredients! I try to always keep FLATOUT pizza crusts in the pantry for times when I need a quick meal. It’s literally ready in a few minutes and you can even make them in your TOASTER OVEN !

This time I made a pizza with what I had on hand in the refrigerator ( Green pepper, banana peppers, tomatoes, some fresh basil from my plant, Sargento”s shredded mozzarella, and RAO’s tomato sauce). I also really like FLAVOR GOD spices because they are real, fresh ingredients without any chemicals added. You can top these Flatout pizzas with anything you like. I’ve made it as simple as cheese and pepperoni or as gourmet as white pizza with Boursin cheese, sautéed mushrooms and truffle oil. The choice is yours!
A handy tip I’ve found through trial & error is to first brush ( or spray ) a little olive oil on the flatbread. Next, place it on the rack in your toaster oven and toast it for about 1 minute to stiffen it up. Then , remove it from the toaster oven and add whatever ingredients you like. Pop it back in the oven for about 2 minutes ( or until the cheese is melted to your liking ). Remove the pizza and enjoy ! This is simple, quick and as healthy as you’d like to make it. If the kids want to each make their own, even better! Depending on how many people you’re feeding, you may have to use the oven instead, but it’s still quick because you can bake them all at the same time. Happy “back to school ” time !
