The minute halloween is over I begin to feel the need for glitter and glam ! Luckily , Sephora has their Holiday Bonus Event, so it makes it easier to start prepping for the season. I’m a beauty junkie, so I spend a lot of time in Sephora stores all over the country while traveling. I love trying samples of skincare, new foundations and new products in general. I have sensitive skin so I need to make sure a product is going to work for me before I splurge. I’m happy to share with you my skincare secrets to get your skin glowing through this holiday season!

Let’s talk about cleansing the skin, first. I received the Clarisonic Mia Smart Holiday Set and I’m loving it! Not only does it deep cleanse your skin to give you that extra glow, it also includes an interchangeable massage head to “uplift ” your skin. This is exactly what we all need to counteract the overindulging we’ll be doing throughout this season! I also just purchased Dr. Brandt’s Microdermabrasion (per the advise of a helpful beauty expert at Sephora who had amazing skin)! so, I will try this once or twice a month to help exfoliate a little more.

Now, let’s talk about a few skincare products that I’ve used for a very long time. I have always been a huge fan of Dr. Perricone products because they’ve kept my skin looking good for years! I’ve used his cleanser, skin serums and moisturizers. The company currently seems to be condensing & eliminating some products, so I’m now interchanging Algenist liquid Collagen Serum and Dr. Perricone Brightening Amine Face Lift , every other day. I love & feel that I need both products ! One lifts and helps with the appearance of sagging skin( within seconds) and the other builds collagen to continue to help this result. I follow with Dr. Perricone Hyaluronic Intensive Moisturizer. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin since I’ve switched to this particular moisturizer.

As far as Lip treatments go, I’ve always used Sugar lip therapy by Fresh at night before bed and during flights to keep my lips hydrated. Lately, I’ve been feeling the need to plump a bit, but don’t want to go the “lip injection” route, as my lips have always been naturally full. I’m beginning to notice a few fine lines though, so I feel “plumping” them topically will help smooth my lips and make them more appealing. I like Algenist Lip Collagen for this. I apply it at night before bed and awake with soft, smooth, plump lips. I still prefer Sugar during flights, though because I feel it’s a little more moisturizing. While we’re on the subject of flying, you can read all about “My necessities while flying ” blog to find the best beauty secrets during your next flight.

Staying hydrated, getting plenty of sleep and taking your vitamins are key tips for maintaining beauty from the inside out. Drinking lots of fluids, especially water, will keep your organs lubricated and your skin plump and refreshed. I suggest warm water with lemon first thing in the morning to do this. I also believe in keeping a good ph balance. Welleco ‘s Super Elixer is great for this. I drink it daily and have noticed a big difference in my skin, hair, nails and digestion. It contains a number of high quality ingredients to support your energy level, gut health and immune system. I’ve been drinking the original Super Elixir ( green powder ) but I just ordered their new flavor in Lemon & ginger. I’ll let you know if I like it as well.
I hope this helps you to stay hydrated, well rested, moisturized and glowing for the Holiday Season. Stay tuned for my next blog where I’ll be sharing more makeup finds and tips for that something EXTRA !
